Mezzo Bet Sport: Sports Betting and Live Markets

Mezzo bet Sport is the sportsbook section of the brand, built around football but stretching to basketball, tennis, ice hockey, table tennis and a long list of smaller disciplines. Stakes are placed in Ethiopian birr (Br), and the sections sit in a single top menu: Home, Sport, Live, Games, Live Games, Virtual Sports, Coupon Check and Promotions.

This page walks through what the sportsbook offers, how live betting works, which bet types and markets exist, and how to read the odds. It is an independent information page about the brand, not the operator's own site.

Mezzo bet sports betting: what is on offer

The sport menu sits on the left of the desktop page. Each discipline shows a counter with the number of events currently listed. At the time the screenshot below was taken, football led with 1,215 events, followed by table tennis (256), ice hockey (191) and basketball (133). Those numbers move all day, so treat them as a snapshot.

A "Top Leagues" block above the menu gives quick access to the competitions most bettors look for: the UEFA Nations League, Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, the English Premier League and Spain's La Liga, with Germany's Bundesliga right below. A time filter narrows the list to matches starting soon.

Local Ethiopian football is worth looking for separately. Coverage of domestic fixtures depends on what the sportsbook has listed on a given day, so check the country in the league tree rather than assuming it is there.

Pre-match and live betting

Pre-match means placing a bet before kickoff. The match row shows the date and time, the three-way odds and a small counter with the number of extra markets, such as "+1010" on a Nations League fixture. Tap the match and the full market list opens.

Live betting has its own tab in the top menu. The page lists games in progress grouped by country and league, with the score, the period and the minute next to each match. A row of quick filters (Match result, Handicap, Total Goals, Both Teams To Score) changes which odds appear in the list.

Odds change while the match runs. Small green and red arrows next to a price show whether it just went up or down. A price can also turn into a dash when a market is suspended, for example after a goal, and it returns once the market reopens.

Live markets for a football match include match result, correct score, goals odd/even, team goals odd/even and next goal. The exact list depends on the match, and smaller fixtures often have only a few. Betting from a phone works the same way, and the Mezzo bet app keeps the live tab one tap away.

A live video stream and a cash-out button are not visible in the pages reviewed here, so neither is described as a feature. Check the match card before counting on them.

Bet types and the betslip

Tapping any odds button adds the selection to the betslip. The slip collects the picks, shows the combined odds and takes a stake before the bet is confirmed.

• Single: one selection, one result. The simplest way to start.
• Accumulator (multiple): several selections on one slip. Every pick must win, and the odds multiply.
• System: a set of smaller combinations built from a larger group of picks, so one lost leg does not sink everything.

Selections from different matches can be combined. Two picks from the same match are usually blocked, because the outcomes depend on each other.

Markets for football and other sports

The market list of a football match is grouped into folders that expand on tap. The open folder "Main" holds the classic bets, and the others cover goals, handicaps, halves and statistics.

• Match Result (1X2): 1 is a home win, X a draw, 2 an away win.
• Double Chance: 1X, 12 or X2, covering two of the three outcomes at lower odds.
• Both Teams to Score, Correct Score, Draw No Bet: listed in the Main folder.
• Goals Odd/Even, Half Time/Full Time, Highest Scoring Half, Next Goal: shorter-term and half-based bets.
• Handicap and Goals: handicap lines and goal totals have their own folders.
• Corners and Substitutions: separate groups where the data is available.

The "1UP" and "2UP" lines under Match Result deserve a read before use. They are variants of the 1X2 market with early-payout conditions, and the small info icon next to them explains the exact rule.

In basketball and tennis the layout is simpler: the winner, a handicap or a total points/games line, and sometimes set or quarter markets. Ice hockey and table tennis follow the same pattern.

How to read the odds

Odds are shown in decimal format. The number is what the stake is multiplied by, and it already includes the stake. Odds of 1.11 mean a heavy favourite; 19.6 is a long shot.

Take a single bet of 100 Br at odds of 1.21. A win returns 121 Br, which is 21 Br profit. Now combine it with a second pick at 2.02 in an accumulator. The combined odds are 1.21 × 2.02 = 2.44, so 100 Br would return 244 Br if both win, and nothing if either loses. It is an illustration of the arithmetic, not a forecast, and no bet guarantees a profit.

Virtual sports

Virtual Sports has its own tab in the menu. These are computer-generated matches and races that run around the clock, with results decided in seconds rather than 90 minutes. Bets work like normal ones: pick an outcome, set a stake, confirm.

Results, bet history and ticket checking

The Results page lets bettors pick a sport, country, league and date range, then press Search. Selecting a finished match with "More Info" opens the score by halves and match statistics, such as possession, when the data is recorded.

The Coupon Check tab is where a placed bet can be looked up. Type the Package ID from the ticket into the field and press Check, and the bet details appear. It is handy for a ticket bought in a betting shop or for a quick look at whether a bet has settled.
